This is Riselius Film

Hi, I'm glad you found your way here. Let me introduce myself and this small firm of mine. Riselius Film is a young, small private film production firm currently based in Sweden, created by me, Nikolina Riselius. I'm a 20-year-old filmmaker from Umeå, Sweden, who focuses on short, narrative works and has produced, written, directed and edited several projects. I have also worked at a few sets and acted as co-producer. I've previously studied both theatre and filmmaking and majored in film-directing and writing at Prague Film School, 2024-2025.

In 2023 I started this firm to deepen my journey in film and production. Under the company, I've completed two short films, financed by Film i Västerbotten, which has thus far accumulated 15 awards and festival selections. My second short, “Här är inget”, won at Novemberfestivalen(2024), the nationals in Swedish youth film, where it also garnered recognition from the Swedish Film Institute.

All my works have had a foot in some supernatural or unnatural aspects, which is where my passion within film and storytelling lies and am eager to explore the strangeness deeper in future projects. I'm drawn to narratives that step outside the real world as, for me, it sparks deeper engagement and opens up new possibilities for exploring themes and stories when it’s unbound. 

I imagine that this company will grow steadily as I work on more projects, meet new people and contacts, and am on a constant path of learning. With this I hope to share a part of myself, my interests and my work. I also want to work, collaborate and help other creators in film to actalize their visions, and maybe you are too.
